To Qualify:
If your air conditioner is the wrong size, then it is wasting energy and costing you money each month. Oversize air conditioners use unnecessary energy and too small air conditioners need to work overtime to keep your business comfortable. Ask a licensed contractor to perform a Manual J calculation to determine what is optimal for your business. You may find that installing R30 attic insulation, or another efficiency measure, can help you save on a smaller A/C unit and lower your energy costs. To qualify for the $90 rebate, you must qualify for this rebate and any one of the following rebates: Heat Pump, Ceiling Insulation Upgrade, or Duct Repair / Replacement.
Air Cooled Ice Machines

To Qualify:
New air-cooled ice machines make ice quickly and use less energy and water compared to water-cooled ice makers. To qualify, replace an existing water cooled ice machine with an air cooled ice machine. Not applicable for new construction.
Business Energy Survey

To Qualify:
Business Energy Surveys are performed by highly trained and experienced energy experts who will thoroughly examine your business by checking: Heating and air-conditioning systems (including ductwork), Refrigeration equipment, Lighting, Water heating, Motors, Process equipment, Your building's thermal characteristics (including insulation) to detect areas of heat loss and gain. After gathering this information, OUC representatives will discuss how you do business and what steps you can take to operate your equipment more efficiently.
Ceiling Insulation Upgrade

To Qualify:
Existing R-Value, Final R-Value, total square footage of installed insulation and type of installed insulation must be included on the invoice. For work performed by the customer: Provide a copy of the invoice/receipt which must indicate type and quantity of insulation purchased. Also, a copy of the coverage chart for the specific type of installed insulation must be provided along with the initial R-Value and the final depth measurement after installation. Total square footage of installed insulation and total quantity of installed insulation must be indicated on the rebate form

Cool / Reflective Roof

To Qualify:
A cool/reflective roof reflects the sun's rays to help lower roof surface temperature and increase roof life. It helps lower your energy bill during the summer by preventing heat absorption. To qualify, the cool roof product must be certified and approved by the ENERGY STAR? Roof Products program and have an initial Solar Reflectance greater than or equal to 0.70. (see www.energystar.gov).

That's why there's the OUC Commercial & Industrial Custom Incentive Program offering financial incentives to businesses that install energy efficient upgrades in their facilities. From lighting upgrades to refrigerator efficiency, you can create your own plan that will help your business save the most. Bring us your ideas and we will help craft a plan that will make life a little greener in your business and on your bottom line. Incentives:$550 per kW non-lighting. $250 per kW for projects that consist of only lighting improvements. Maximum of $100,000 per customer per year.

To Qualify:
Must be sealed with mastic or mastic with embedded Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved duct tape on all accessible boots, joints and seams of the air duct system (ADS) in both the attic and in any accessible air handler closet. Invoice must have a separately-itemized amount for each system repair and must reflect the method of repair used; i.e. supply duct boot sealed with mastic. Any penetration of the ADS through the ceiling must be enclosed with a proper draft stop seal
